Security is required for the connecting things on internet and some of the tools and solutions used are:
1.M2MLabs Mainspring:
M2MLabs is a set of M2MLabs. Mainspring is an open-source technology platform for developing M2M (machine-to-machine) applications. Including fleet management, remote control, and smart grid applications. System configuration, modular device modelling also communication between application and devices.
2.Eclipse IoT Project:
Eclipse is a supporter of a number of IoT-related initiatives. They include application frameworks and utilities, open-source IoT protocol implementations, and tools for working with Lua, which Eclipse promotes as an ideal IoT programming language. Mihini, Koneki, and Paho are all Eclipse-related ventures.
3.Kinoma:
Kinoma is a hardware prototyping platform from Marvell Semiconductor that consists of three projects:
1)Kimona Create is a free, open-source kit for prototyping electronic devices.
2)Kimona Studio is a free and open-source development environment for the Kinoma Platform Runtime and Create.
3)Kimona Connect is a free iOS and Android app that connects smartphones and tables to the Internet of Things (IoT).
4.Palo Alto Networks:
With Palo Alto Networks’ IoT protection solution, offices, data centres, and other facilities with IoT networks will protect their devices from hostile traffic and attempted breaches. It bills itself as a turn-key solution that includes hardware and virtual firewalls, device recognition software, and other tools for monitoring and protecting unmanaged IoT devices.
5.FirstPoint:
FirstPoint is a device-agnostic agentless protection solution that protects cellular IoT devices from attacks that occur inside the cellular network or communicate via the cellular network. This aids mobile network operators in protecting vulnerable cellular-connected devices from the threats that IoT devices face on cellular networks.
